3 Healthy Breakfast Ideas

Lots of people skip breakfast. However, eating breakfast each morning is a great way to keep your blood sugar levels under control and prevent overeating later on in the day. Try these healthy breakfast ideas. They save you time, are nutritious and delicious, and easy to prepare.
The next time you’re thinking about skipping breakfast, don’t!

Golden Overnight Oats (Serves 1)

Gluten-free, Vegetarian, Nut-free


  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch cloves
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp honey



  1. In a bowl, whisk turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, honey, and milk.
  2. Place oats in an air-tight container.
  3. Pour the milk mixture over the oats and briefly stir.
  4. Refrigerate with lid on tight for a minimum of 8 hours. It can last for up to 5 days (so you can prepare multiple servings for the whole week!)
  5. Eat the oats from the jar, or in a bowl. Top with fruit, nuts, or milk as desired.


Fresh Fruit Cereal (Serves 1)

Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegetarian


  • 1 apple
  • ½ banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
  • 12 walnuts (or preferred nut of choice)
  • ¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp cinnamon or cocoa powder



  1. Dice the apple and banana and place into bowl.
  2. Option to chop the nuts of your choice and add them to the bowl, along with the seeds and shredded coconut.
  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon or cocoa powder over everything, to taste.
  4. Pour in the milk and enjoy.


Healthy Blueberry Smoothie (serves 1)

Gluten-free, Vegetarian 


  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • ¼ avocado, cubed
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ½ cup blueberries



  1. Add almond milk and ice into the blender, followed by avocado, protein powder, and blueberries.
  2. Blend and enjoy!
